Rebuilding Family Therapy provides counseling to individuals, couples and families that have a problem, symptom or behavior impacting their emotional wellbeing and/or mental health.
I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist that provides individual and group clinical supervision. My background and experience in the mental health field has included various roles as a Victim Witness Advocate (providing case management support needs during court), Residential Counselor, (monitored minors in group home), Detention Officer (monitored youth in Juvenile Hall) and Child Welfare Worker (responded to child abuse referrals). As a Clinician Therapist I worked with Mental Health Court, Juvenile Hall Counselor, Community Reintegration Programs, Adult Full Service Partnership and Educational Mental Health. I have worked as a Clinical Supervisor in Full Service Partnership and School Based Mental Health Services. Currently I am an Adjunct Faculty as well in both General Education Psychology and graduate Marriage Family Therapy Programs. In order to be effective as a clinician we have to be insightful, self aware and willing to keep developing clinically.
My experience in the mental health field includes working with youth (child/teens), adults, families and couples. I continue to value working in therapy as a clinician to see improvement, growth and change. I will work with you to address the topic(s) or concern(s) you identify. Your input and feedback is important as we work together to create a goal to move toward your desired outcome. I will listen and provide support to create a plan and goal to move toward the outcome you choose. You will engage, give feedback on what is or is not helpful and collaborate with me to for your desired outcome. My viewpoint is that we all have experiences /circumstances that require additional support to address, move forward, move past and heal. Treatment approaches I use in therapy are Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems. In addition together we will discuss interventions/tools that will be helpful to you to enhance your wellbeing.
